Adelynn Belle is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University in Fall 2023. In 2024, she participated in the Air Force Research Laboratory (ARFL) Minority Leadership Program (MLP). Then in 2025, she was awarded the TAMUS-LANL Fellowship by Los Alamos National Lab, which included a summer onsite as a visiting researcher and continued collaboration in 2026. Her research in the MAESTRO lab focuses on modeling and analysis of additive manufacturing (AM). Some project objectives are:

  • Design a framework to model laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) AM of intricate geometries in Abaqus.
  • Extend capabilities to include the complex material properties for shape memory alloys (SMAs).
  • Develop tools to spatially control heterogeneous properties in an AM part.
  • Create a global optimization algorithm with topology, heterogeneous manipulation, and part performance.

  • Simulation Driven Coupled Scan-Topology Optimization for Laser Powder Bed Fusion Additive Manufacturing
