B.S. in Aerospace Engineering (2025) – Texas A&M University
Raghav Bhatnagar is a Master’s of Engineering Student at Texas A&M University in the department of aerospace engineering. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering in May 2025 and is currently performing research with MAESTRO on the Topological Design of Multifunctional Structures via Genetic Programming. His research focuses on optimizing the existing SPIDRS interpreter for simplicity and performance by reducing the number of design parameters in the program. His primary interests are in structural design and optimization. He became interested in this area when he took AERO 604: Aerospace Structural Design as a graduate student with Dr. Hartl. Here Raghav designed and optimized a delta wing for a reentry vehicle based on the space shuttle in ABAQUS while also using topological optimization. Raghav hopes to work as a structural engineer in industry upon graduation working on the structural design of the next generation of aircraft and spacecraft.
